Wouter started at a young age as a composer/producer and released his first record when he was only 16 years old. In a short period of time he built up a large discography and an international dj career followed soon afterwards. After more then a hundred releases and numerous live performances on festivals and clubs he decided to change course. He followed a Master of Arts, Master of Music and a Master of Philosophy in Music Design. During his study he researched the implementation of loudness normalisation in broadcasting. His study became part of the loudness standards (known as R128 and the ATSC A/85, also known as the Calm Act). This led to the co-founding of the software company BeatRig, currently one of the major suppliers of loudness software.
After his study he focussed on music and audio post production for the media. He’s written music for commercials by big brands like BWM, Nestle, Pink Ribbon, Audi, Orange Babies, MTV, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Samsung, Ford, Google and many more. In 2013 he co-founded music and sound design studio MacLoud in the center of Amsterdam.
